How to Style the Après Ski Look—Even Off The Slopes!
By Kelsey Hokit|
If you have ever been skiing, you know how chic the outfits can be. However, there is a way to look ready to hit the slopes even when you are just heading out for dinner and drinks. Let’s talk about the best ways to style the après ski look!
1! The Perfect Pants
Whether you are actually heading down the mountain or just want to look winter chic, your après ski look needs to have the right pants. For those that are planning to ski then you can wear actual ski pants, but if you are just wanting a great look for dinner or drinks then consider black denim or a pair of thick leggings.
2. Fur Hat or Beanie
No winter ski look is complete without the perfect hat. Depending on your style, you might want a great beanie to wear on the slopes but swap it out for a beautiful faux fur hat. Nothing screams après ski more than a stunning hat.
3. Warm Boots
Even if you are not actually planning to ski, you will still want boots that not only keep you warm but are stylish as well. A pair of boots that are fur-lined will definitely keep your feet warm and complete your chic look. You can find a variety of styles from shorter boots to ones that go up to your knee depending on your preference.
4. Knit Sweater
When you look at all of the chic après ski outfits you see on the slopes you will notice almost all of them include a knit sweater. There are many stunning ski sweaters available whether you want a neutral color or a fun pattern with color. Choose something that reflects your personal style and that you can layer under a jacket.
5. Puffy Jacket
The finishing touch to your ski-ready outfit will be a puffy jacket. This can be the perfect place to add a pop of color to your outfit, whether you want a bright pink, green, or even blue. If neutrals are more of your style choose white, cream, or black. This style of jacket will keep you warm throughout the day and photograph perfectly in your Instagram pictures!
The après ski style is always on-trend in the winter months and can easily be styled with the right pieces. You are now ready to hit the slopes or spend the afternoon sipping tea with your best friend in Aspen!
